Buen Vivir — the good life as understood by Andean and Amazonian traditions — measures wellbeing not by accumulation but by right relationship with the community of living beings. Applied to technology, the question is whether a given tool brings humans into better relationship with the earth and with each other, or extracts from both in ways that cannot be replenished.
