Islamic tarbiyah — raising in faith

Tarbiyah is not instruction in rules — it is the cultivation of the whole person: character, conscience, and connection to the divine running together as a single project. The parent who lives what they teach gives the child something far more durable than doctrine. Faith transmitted through love and example grows roots; faith transmitted through obligation alone finds its first exit.
