Mutual aid networks across traditions

Mutual aid is belonging made material — the community that shows up with food when you are sick, that covers the rent when work fails, that watches the children when the emergency arrives. It exists in every tradition because the need it addresses exists in every tradition; what varies is the formalization, the scale, and the values underneath it. The revival of mutual aid networks in recent years is one of the more hopeful belonging experiments of this generation.
