Digital culture's obsession with instantaneous response and infinite growth mirrors the temporal distortion that drives climate crisis. Laozi would recognize in 'real-time' operations the violation of natural timing. Applied: assess technologies by whether they amplify or diminish temporal stress, whether they accelerate or moderate the pace of consumption and waste, whether they honor seasonal rhythms or attempt to transcend them. True sustainability requires temporal humility—accepting natural pacing over forced acceleration.
