The Uncarved Block of Time

Pu, the uncarved block, symbolizes original wholeness before modification. Empty time mirrors this state—it hasn't yet been carved into productivity, entertainment, or achievement. Laozi valued Pu because it held infinite possibility without the rigidity of predetermined form. Boredom signals that your time hasn't yet found its natural shape.
