By reducing friction and removing artificial barriers, knowledge finds its own level like water. This contrasts sharply with top-down approaches that exhaust themselves fighting resistance. The most powerful democratization movements are those that feel inevitable, moving with rather than against the grain of society's actual needs and curiosities.
