The Mirror of Inner Bias
A reflective practice for recognizing how our unhealed wounds and insecurities become the template for who we favor and exclude.
RabiaRabia's path required radical honesty about the self—examining not what we claim to believe, but what our choices reveal about our hearts. Favoritism is always a mirror of our own fragmentation. We favor those who reflect our idealized self or those from whom we seek validation for past rejections. We exclude those who trigger shame or remind us of our powerlessness. This concept asks: What story am I telling myself about why this person deserves more? What am I afraid will happen if I treat everyone fairly? By observing our favoritism patterns without judgment, we access the wounded places seeking healing through hierarchy. Rabia taught that the path to wholeness requires seeing ourselves clearly—including our capacity for unfairness. Only then can we move beyond the need to engineer belonging through favoritism, toward genuine community built on honest presence.
