The Sufi lover abandons all personal agenda in service to divine love; the tantric adept similarly binds themselves to practice vows and guru relationship with uncompromising sincerity. This commitment becomes transformative precisely because it is total. Rumi's surrender rhetoric—'I am nothing, You are all'—echoes the tantric practitioner's renunciation of conceptual self-clinging. Both recognize that lasting transformation requires not occasional practice but devotional intensity woven into the fabric of daily life and consciousness.
