Ishq: Divine Love as Transformative Force

Ishq, often translated as divine love or passionate devotion, represents the highest state in Rumi's spiritual hierarchy—a love so consuming that it completely transforms the lover into the Beloved. Unlike ordinary affection, ishq is an overwhelming spiritual force that dissolves all resistance, argument, and self-protection.
