I make content but nobody's watching—what now?

You say you make content but no one grows with you. Look closer. You are making things for an audience that does not exist yet, and calling that the problem. It is not. The problem is you have not chosen anyone real to serve. An audience is not a number. It is people who trust you solved their problem once, so they come back. You cannot build trust with a crowd you have not met. You build it with one person, then another, then another who tells a friend. This is not a mystery of algorithms. It is a choice you keep avoiding: to shrink your target until it is a single, nameable person, and to serve them so plainly that they notice.
