My estate doesn't match what I actually care about—now what?

Look at your will or trust honestly. Chances are it was written years ago, shaped by a lawyer's default template, a bank's form, or an old family assumption. It may say nothing about the causes or communities you now care about. This is not hypocrisy. It is neglect. Values change; paperwork does not update itself.
