What good is my skill if the algorithm can build the model too?

You built something rare — a model that finds edge where others see noise. Now a machine builds faster than you. This frightens you. It should not surprise you. You have confused the hand with the craft. The hand can be replaced. The craft — knowing what edge looks like, why it exists, when it will vanish — is not replaced by speed. It is only replaced by better judgment, and no machine has judgment yet. Ask yourself plainly: did you spend your years learning to type formulas, or learning to see? If it was the first, you have real cause for worry. If it was the second, the algorithm is not your rival. It is your new tool.
