Why did going independent just make me busier, not freer?

You built a name. Now work finds you without asking. That is the trap: you say yes to all of it, and the calendar fills before you notice it happening. The freedom you left a job to find was never "no boss." It was choice over your own hours. You handed that choice to every client who called, and to every partner counting on you to keep the pipeline full. Your pod feels this too.
