Why does travel feel impossible now that I'm an adult?

You say travel is impossible. But listen to what you actually mean — work is complicated, money is tight, someone needs to be home with the kids. Those are true things. 'Impossible forever' is not the same sentence as 'hard to arrange this year.' I knew a man who burned his tongue on soup once, at a wedding, in front of everyone. He never touched soup again. Not because soup got hotter after that. Because he never checked if it had cooled. Your logistics are real. But somewhere along the way, 'hard right now' quietly became 'closed forever,' and you stopped checking the temperature. This page is for checking the temperature.

The main obstacle isn't lack of information about travel logistics — it's a frozen belief that needs to be re-tested through small action, so guidance carries most of the weight.

What’s really going on

One day a man burned his tongue on hot soup. He never ate soup again — called it 'impossible,' not 'too hot right now.' Your travel is the same. Work and money and kids did not delete travel. You just stopped checking if the soup cooled. Check again.

A moveList the actual logistics blocking you — cost, time off, childcare — as separate line items, not one big wall labeled 'impossible.'
A movePick one trip within two hours of home. No planning past packing a bag. Go this month.
A moveAsk yourself what travel used to give you — escape, novelty, a good story — and find a thumbnail version of it in your own city this week.
A moveFind one date, even eleven months out, and put a real trip on the calendar. A date on a calendar is not a fantasy anymore.
A moveFind one person who travels with your same constraints — kids, job, tight money — and ask them exactly how they do it.
