Should our team trust the AI's plan, or just ignore it?
Your team split into two camps without meaning to. Some of you run every plan through the model and stop thinking once it answers. Others refuse to open the thing at all, calling it noise. Both camps have the same disease: neither wants to do the harder work of judgment. The tool is not the problem. Your relationship to it is. A model can compute faster than any of you and still be wrong in ways none of you catch, because it does not know your team, your history, or what you actually value. That gap is exactly where your judgment belongs. Refusing the tool wastes its speed. Trusting it blindly wastes your judgment. What is in your power is simple, if not easy: build a habit, as a group, of asking the model for its assumptions before you accept its conclusions. That habit is work. Do it anyway.
Neither. An AI model is an opinion at the table, not a verdict from above. Question it the way you'd question a confident stranger — ask what it assumed, what it left out, then decide together. If you skip that step, you have not used the tool. You have hidden behind it.
What changes unlock by starting
- Your team stops treating AI output as either gospel or garbage
- You build a shared, repeatable habit for questioning any model's assumptions
- Decisions carry a human reason attached, not just a machine's number
- Fewer arguments between the trusters and the skeptics on your team, because you now have a process instead of a fight
