Why don't we talk about our dreams anymore?

You know when the car needs an oil change. You know who is tired, and why, and what is due Friday. You do not know what your partner hopes for next year. This is not failure. This is what happens when life gets full and busy. Somewhere, the calendar took the seat where wonder used to sit. You traded longing for logistics — both of you did, a little at a time, and neither one noticed the trade. I left a palace for a song, and I did not lose anything I needed. What would you set down, just for one evening, to ask each other what you still dream of? That question is not extra work. It is the door back to each other.

This problem isn't missing information — it's a missing practice, so most of the movement comes from actually asking the question, not learning about it.

What’s really going on

You have not lost your partner's dreams — you have only stopped asking about them. The practical crowded out the personal because nobody chose it; it just happened. Set the schedule down for one hour and ask what you used to ask: what do you want now, in this next chapter? Freedom is one question away.

  • You will learn one real thing your partner wants, not just needs.
  • You will feel less like co-managers and more like companions again.
  • You will build one small ritual that keeps future-talk alive.
  • You will remember what it felt like to be curious about each other.
One object, two jobs: a public answer to a real problem, and — the moment you start the chat — Mira’s live plan for your version of it.
